Jano Soto is a well-known triathlete with top wins in numerous events worldwide. He has over 16 years of triathlon experience and has competed as well as placed in a number of Ironman 70.3 competitions.
Prior to discovering triathlon, Jano tried his hand at water skiing and barefoot Skiing, some motorcycle and car racing, and a couple of years of mountain biking. In 1995 he was introduced to triathlon and competed in his first triathlon, the International Ixtapa Olympic distance Triathlon, finishing with a time of 2:42.
In January 2009, Jano decided to dedicate himself to the sport and make a concentrated push toward elite competition. In May 2010 he moved to Kona, Hawaii to train full time and race with the best in an attempt to find himself seated well in the world rankings. His favorite races are the Ironman 70.3 Hawaii and the Ironman 70.3 Putrajaya.
