Lucas Angulo, part of the Kaenon grom team, is from Kauai. In 2011 he made it to the semi-finals in the NSSA Nationals and Surfing America's Championships. He has also placed first in the Open Boys NSSA contest at PK's and second in the Menehune Division at the HASA State's at Alamoana Bowls. In order to stay in shape for competition he dedicated much of his time to physical training involving beach boot camps and jiu jitsu. When not advancing his surfing career, Lucas will be advancing his education as he enters high school in 2011in advanced honors programs.
