From Queensland, Australia, Shakira is a paddling champion across all areas: standup paddle, prone and wave. A professional lifeguard by profession, Shakira has become a major contender in the standup paddle arena, winning the 2009 Battle of the Paddle in Dana Point and second place at the 2010 BOP in Hawaii, among numerous other events. A strong surfer, Westdorp took second at the Noosa Festival of Surfing in 2011.
