Nicknamed "The Dinger," AJ is an American racecar driver. He is best known for his accomplishments in the Champ Car World Series. Allmendinger currently drives the #22 Shell Oil Company/Pennzoil Dodge Charger for Penske Racing in the Sprint Cup Series.

Allmendinger’s list of achievements includes being the 2-time IKF Champion, the 2002 Barber Dodge Pro Series Champion and the 2003 Champ Car Atlantic Champion. In 2012 AJ entered the Rolex 24 at Daytona and drove the final segment of the 24-hour race to victory for his team.
