A current manager in Tampa Bay, Joe Maddon spent his early career logging more than 30 years within the Angels organization. In 2008 he took his young team in Tampa Bay to the franchise’s first World Series appearance and won the American League Manager of the Year award during the same year. In 2011, Maddon led his team from a nine run deficit, to a wild card clinching comeback that took them to the playoffs. At the end of the 2011 season, he was awarded the American League Manager of the Year award for the second time in his career.
